Precious Okoyomon is a London-born, US-based artist and poet whose practice moves between poetry, sculpture, and installation. Their work combines natural materials such as soil, plants, and sugar with text and sound to explore themes of transformation, colonial history, and spirituality. Central to Okoyomon’s practice is the idea of becoming, the continual transition between human, plant, and myth. Their installations function as living ecosystems that grow, decay, and change, serving as poetic meditations on love, pain, and collective healing. Openly embracing their queer, Black identity, Okoyomon approaches art as a space of intimacy and connection — a means of reimagining the world anew.
