JSF DÜSSELDORF: Student talk, Video and Film Class of Prof. Danica Dakić
The city of Rome was and is a European place of longing. The city was also of great significance for the founding history of the Kunstakademie Düsseldorf. On the occasion of the 250th anniversary of the Kunstakademie Düsseldorf, students of the class for film and video embarked on a journey to Rome that was both real and imaginary. In different artistic forms and media, individually and in groups, they grappled with the conditions of nature and culture in a globalized world. For the project presentation in the cinema of the Julia Stoschek Foundation, ten video works were curated in collaboration with Daniela Kinateder.
